This café was opened in 2001 by a teashop with a more than 150 year old history. The interior is registered as an important cultural landscape offering a relaxing space looking over a fine pine tree praised by Toshihiko Yoroizuka, a famous patisserie born in Uji. “The mission of a tea production area” forms the foundation for creating a menu loved by both young and the old. It is said that “Tea is alive” meaning that its taste and flavor changes depending on the conditions. Using the wisdom and experience of the specialty shop, their recipes reflect the delicate changes of each season.In consideration of the customer’s health they use unrefined sugar from Okinawa as an ingredient. Once you visit you will understand why many visitors come from afar in search for their delicate tasting dishes.
