Enjoy N.Y. style pancake in Nishijin
This N.Y. style pancake cafe is housed in a lovely Kyo-machiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse) style building. When visiting the Nishijin area, try their delicious pancake for a special breakfast. The owner, Akiko Hirano, also offers homemade cake from the morning. She bakes cakes utilizing the techniques and recipes she learnt in the United States. Pancakes with banana caramel and fruits are recommended during the cafe hours. Enjoy the freshly cooked flavorful pancakes with a generous amount of original maple-based syrup.
