BOCCA del VINO is a restaurant located in downtown Kyoto at Shijo Muromachi where diners can experience both the atmosphere and dishes of rural Italy. The owner and chef, Akimasa Nomiya, opened his restaurant in 2005 after working for three ristorantes in Italy. Nomiya uses Kyoto’s specialties, like hamo (conger eel) to prepare local Italian dishes. The relaxing décor and delicious food have attracted many gourmets who have sense of taste to often come and enjoy Nomiya’s dishes.
