Up-and-coming and authentic French restaurant
Brique is located in a back lane near the Karasuma Gojo intersection. Look for an entrance made of red bricks. Chef Masaru Konno trained himself in a renowned French and Italian restaurant and finally opened his own restaurant in recent years. The dishes are always full of his original creativity. For example, one of their customers recommends ‘Cube of Foie Gras and Eel’ offering layers of foie gras and eel and making croquette of risotto containing eel liver. Few chefs would come up with such a unique idea and actually form it into a complete, high-level dish. Another reason for Brique’s popularity is that they serve dishes until midnight, a very rare practice in Kyoto.
