Try authentic chocolate from New York in historical Gion
MarieBelle, a very popular chocolate shop in New York, have opened their branch in Kyoto. Tastefully decorated with mainly antique furniture, the Kyoto Branch offers colorful chocolates, mainly ganache, with artistic illustrations on surface. The recommended item is the Chocolate Balls that come in ten different kinds. Turn the handle of one of the large chocolate dispensers set in the center of the shop and your favorite chocolate balls will come running down (from 1,000 yen per 100 g; 300 yen for a can). Boxes of a chocolate assortment with fruit would be a great gift for anyone.
