Combination of home-roasted coffee and delicious cinnamon toast
“Which is your recommended coffee shop in Kyoto?” If you ask this question, you will hear the name of “caffe Verdi” quite often. People know that they can enjoy fresh tasty coffee here as only the necessary amount of coffee beans for a day is roasted so that every cup is very fresh. They change the roasting technique depending on the characteristics of the beans. What is more, only beans in good condition are selected to brew – such a sincere effort for every cup of coffee. One of their keen fans is Mr. Wakabayashi, a director and designer of Kyoto’s SOU SOU brand. One of his stores accommodates a café and Wakabayashi had caffe Verdi create their original blend. Then blend was named “Shimogamo Blend” which has a particular bitterness and faint citrus-like aroma. A strong coffee blend is the perfect accompaniment for their sweet and crispy toast with butter and cinnamon.
