Serving the same original taste for three generations
Grill Kodaira is a restaurant located by Okazaki Park. They have served western cuisine since 1961. The first generation owner and chef who was born in the Meiji period (1868-1912) created his original recipes and his two sons passionately took over their father’s taste. Diners can enjoy typical western cuisine, so-called Yoshiku in Japanese, like deep-fried shrimp and hamburger steak. However, the most important element in the kitchen is their special demiglace sauce. Surprisingly, they spend an entire two weeks to complete the sauce and even have a special kitchen solely for its preparation. The sauce is served with the “Haishi Rice” (a rice omelet with demiglace sauce) and hamburger steak both of which are synonymous of Grill Kodakara. You might be surprised at the large rice serving, but if you are very hungry, adding one portion of rice is also OK (+400 yen).
