Cool new sushi prepared by a budding chef
A sushi restaurant, Hana-no-i, is located one street west of Hanamikoji Street, in the middle of the Gion, Kyoto’s most classical and elegant district. Corresponding to the atmosphere of the area, the restaurant welcomes diners into an elegant Japanese world. Fine wood is used all around the interior and there are only counter seats and one table seat available. The third generation owner and chef, Mr. Takahiro Kawahara, works diligently and always meets his customer’s expectation. The recommended menu item is “Chef’s recommended course” which includes sashimi (pieces of raw fish), a grilled dish, a vinegary dish and 10 pieces of sushi. A Japanese sake from Ibaraki prefecture, which is also named “Hana-no-I,” has a connection with the first generation owner and is the best choice for your meal.
