     It is a one-day trip to Kuzukawa valley from Kyoto city. Experience the natural atmosphere of a mysterious land located in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture.  Hirasansou is located close to the valley and it is well known for “Yamanobe cuisine”, one of the best ryokan (Japanese inns) renowned for Japanese cuisine in Kansai area, it can be called “Japanese style auberge”. You are welcome to enjoy lunch or dinner without staying in the ryokan.  They cook fresh ingredients harvested from the local area of Mt. Hira and Ado River. The restaurant offers a special course menu using fresh seasonal food therefore, it attracts lovers of good food from far and wide seeking wild seasonal food.  They serve wild vegetables in spring, ayu fish in summer, mushroom and matsutake in autumn and wild bear hot pot.
