Gentle and sweet handmade doughnuts
There used to be a very popular bakery in the city, named “hohoemi” and the staff decided to open a doughnut shop at a different location. Today hohoemi’s taste can be enjoyed as doughnuts at Hitsuji. Fresh doughnuts are always on display in the cozy and natural atmosphere of the shop. In accordance with their motto of “healthy and natural,” Hitsuji’s doughnuts are made from two types of dough: natural yeast and sprouted rice. Chocolate, light brown sugar, wasanbon (specially fine Japanese sugar) and unique choices will always delight you. For some of the doughnuts, sugar powder is provided separately and you just apply the powder before you eat the doughnuts so that it won’t become greasy. Some popular flavors are sold out before closing time. Besides doughnuts, their long-popular caramel rusk (toasted crispy bread with sugar), loved by many fans since they opened “hohoemi,” is also a must-try.
