Hot and fresh rice dumplings in five flavors
Jumondo, the Japanese sweet dumpling shop, was opened in April 2012. The name of the shop, Jumon, comes from the fact that one serving of dumplings was 10 mon (ju-mon; old money unit in Japan) in 1708, when the 10-mon coin was produced. Small balls of rice dumplings (about 12mm in size) are skewered on a bamboo stick and cooked over a charcoal fire. There are five flavors to choose from: mild white miso (soy bean paste), black sesame and soy sauce, soybean powder, seaweed and sweet red bean paste. The set menu with matcha green tea latte and matcha parfait is a good choice. If you want to try all five flavors, choose the dumpling set that includes small portions of all of them.
