Breathtaking and “Well worth the price” Yamato style steak course
Their regulars vary from the locals who pay monthly visits to those who travel from afar by airplane or bullet train in order to enjoy Yamato’s Omakase (Chef’s recommendation) course, which offers more than six dishes just for the appetizer. To give an example, in May, tile fish, lobster and abalone dishes in both Japanese and Western style are served before the main dish of steak and then continues on to as much as you want of either curry rice or hayashi rice (beef, onions and mushrooms in a thick demiglace sauce). One of the regular diners says, “One will be surprised with the quality of the course that goes beyond the price and the friendly owner both of which will surely make anybody a fan of Yamato.” The Omakase course menu is seasonal and varies in each month. In summer, chilled Shabushabu style slices of fine Omi Beef and smoked sweet fish will entertain diners. Counter style seats are limited in number so make sure to reserve in advance.
