A new brand born from Kyoto’s long established Japanese sweet shop
Kameya Yoshinaga is one of the long established Japanese sweet shops in Kyoto. Today they still use pure spring water from the Samegai Well that was formerly used by famous tea ceremony masters. In 2010, Kameya Yoshinaga took on a new challenge. They started a new brand “Satomi Fujita by KAMEYA YOSHINAGA” that produces an original fusion of Japanese and Western sweet created by pattisiere, Satomi Fujita, who formerly worked in a restaurant in France. Two of her representative sweets are “An no Hako” in which cream cheese is sandwiched in special fluffy cake containing white miso (soy bean paste). “Kinako” contains soybean powder in the cake with a layer of bean ganache. Try and experience this totally unique collaboration of Japanese and Western tastes.
