Soft and graceful fabrics “Kineya-gonomi”, selected by people who favor kimono
Kineya provides a variety of small traditional Japanese clothing items. Especially their obi-age (fabric for obi sash) and obi-jime (sash band) have been loved by people who are involved in show business, plays, dance performances and tea ceremonies since the early post war period. From this popularity the expression, “Kineya-gonomi,” was favored by their fans. The gradation of colored patterns with elegant Kyoto-style colors make a beautiful and graceful kimono. The obi-jime band with the Shosoin Karakumi pattern is woven in a diamond-shaped pattern. You can select your favorite sash band after considering its use, or for the proper social occasion. Photos are: Hand-braided karakumi sash band “Iro-asobi” (26,250 yen each), Chirimen (silk crepes) dyed obi-age with multi-colored pattern (13,650 yen).
