Healthy doughnuts made with soymilk
Kyo Tofo Fujino is a traditional tofu shop in Kyoto always attempting something new. One of their recent accomplishments is their new concept shop, Konna Monja, offering not only tofu but also unique original sweets using tofu and soymilk. At Konna Monja, a wide range of freshly made tofu-based products, including deep-fried, made from Japanese soybeans, soymilk ice cream and cookies are available. An especially popular item is their soymilk doughnuts, fried right in front of customers. The steaming hot small doughnuts are very soft and sweet. Sometimes, more than 10,000 doughnuts are sold in a single day. Their reasonable prices (250 yen for 10 pieces) also attract people from far and wide.
