Experience Omi Beef, one of the best Japanese beefs

Kuishinbo Yamanaka was opened nearly 40 years ago in the Katsura area of Kyoto City.  For their beef dishes, the owner and chef, Koji Yamanaka, serves only specially-selected Omi Beef calf meat (locally raised beef in Shiga Prefecture) as he wishes to let his diners experience the true taste of quality Japanese beef.  “The color of true Omi Beef is not pink but rather russet, and it has very fine texture,” Yamanaka says.  He doesn’t hesitate to use first class Omi Beef not only for steak but also for other regular menu items such as hamburger steak and beef cutlet.  Though the restaurant is located at a little distance from central Kyoto, it is well worth going to Kuishinbo Yamanaka and trying their dishes.
