Kyoto-style curry udon noodles offering everyone’s favorite
Mimikou is a famous restaurant serving curry udon noodles. They started from a small stall in 1969 and have been loved by local people as a “must-try midnight meal.” They have served “Kyoto-style curry udon noodles” which uses a typical Kyoto-taste broth as a key ingredient. After more than 40 years, they moved and in recent years opened the restaurant on Kiyamachi Street, near Yasaka Shrine in Gion. Their delicious soup was concocted after tremendous time and effort to decide the balance of broth and spices. The Ama Kitsune Udon is popular among female customers. A piece of deep-fried tofu is topped on the noodles in a curry soup. What is more, adding a half-boiled egg (+80 yen) on the noodles will make the taste milder and even better.
