    Kyogoku Kaneyo

Prime donburi topped with pieces of eel cooked with secret broth and big dashi-maki egg roll

Kyogoku Kaneyo specializing in eel cuisine.  It was established at the end of Taisho period (1912-1926). The antique-looking building still remains from the old days. They have been traditionally keeping the secret broth, selecting eel individually and grilled them with special bichotan charcoal.  Original cooking techniques have been taken over for over 100 years. “Kinshi-don” (2,100 yen) is very popular.  This is a bowl of rice topped with pieces of grilled eel and a big egg roll that overlaps the bowl. You can enjoy the taste of exquisite combination taste of eel, rice and the broth in one bowl.
