Fluffy Okonomi-yaki using French cuisine techniques
Manmaru no Tsuki is an okonomi-yaki and teppan-yaki restaurant using many Kyoto-origin ingredients such as Kyoto vegetables, chicken and pork. Their okonomi-yaki is incredibly fluffy almost like a soufflé. The secret is that the owner used to be a French chef and made a special okonomi-yaki recipe utilizing his French cooking technique. Careful temperature control of the iron plate enables the cabbage pieces inside to be steamed and soft. “Seasonal grilled vegetable salad” (from 750 yen) is a very simple dish but best for enjoying the real taste of the vegetables themselves. They also offer tasty bio-wines that compliment their dishes perfectly.
