Aroma of cinnamon and fluffy rice cake loved in the Kagai

Meigetsudo started its business in 1950 and opened a shop on Miyagawacho Street in 1979, one of the Kagai districts where maiko and geiko live and work.  Every sweet they create is carefully prepared by hand.  The most popular is the Nikki-mochi (cinnamon rice cake), which has attracted many long-term fans, including Konosuke Matsushita (1894-1989), the founder of Panasonic.  The rice cake is so soft like a marshmallow and once you bring a piece to your mouth, the delectable aroma of cinnamon spreads.  This reasonably priced rice cake will make the perfect company for your coffee and tea.
