    Experience the intriguing world of antique art

    Nakanishi Shohokenis a famous shop which made a bid for the tray of lacquer-carving at the highest price in the history in 2010. The shop was established in 1958 in Furumonzen Street.  Since the establishment they have been dealing in many tea utensils for Senke School and new utensils for 10 craftsmen for Sen Family. The fourth generation owner, Mr. Teruyuki Nakanishi set up a new gallery and reopened the shop in December, 2012, providing a friendly display, sales space and a tasteful service space. Mr. Nakanishi is continuously making effort to disseminate tea-ceremony and antique art more broadly.
