Elegant Kyoto cuisine with a fine view of the Japanese garden

Nanzenji Gimmond serves traditional Kyoto cuisine by the serene canal near Nanzen-ji Temple complex with Higashiyama mountain ridge as a backdrop.  The classical building with Sukiya-style (tea ceremony room style) architecture used to be the villa of a wealthy merchant from Shiga Prefecture, Gin-emon Kobayashi.  The vast stroll-style garden with a large pond changes from season to season and radiates a tranquil air.  Here diners can enjoy true Kyoto cuisine utilizing the best seasonal ingredients.  It is worth paying attention to their beautiful bowls and plates that are specifically chosen by the chef.  Table seats are set near the entrance and there are also private Japanese rooms and a large annex for parties, perfect for meeting any request from diners.
