Enjoy authentic Kyoto-style cuisine of Kyoto’s famed ryokan inn in casual style
OKU originally opened in June, 2012, as a café and gallery specializing in Japanese cuisine and wares managed by Mr. Hisato Nakahigashi, the owner and chef of Kyoto’s famed ryokan inn, Miyamaso. The café was reborn recently and many dishes were added to the menu including those served in Miyamaso. The first floor is bar style where YEBISU draft beer is only 400 yen. Warabi-mochi (sweet jelly-like dessert made from beckon starch) and other traditional Japanese sweet menu items are still available on the second floor. Either the bar or café -- choose your favorite style and feeling under one roof.
