Creative Italian dishes prepared with passion
Located just by the south gate of Yasaka Jinja Shrine, this Italian restaurant is claimed to be one of the best in Kyoto. Walking through a narrow entrance path will make you excited with anticipation. The chef, Mitsuhiko Tsutsui, used to work for a famous Italian restaurant, Ponte Vecchio, in Osaka. “I don’t need many words from my customers, ‘It’s very good!’ this is all I hope to hear.” So as to serve the best dishes for his customers, Tsutsui never allows himself to compromise. While looking for the best duck for his dishes, he ended up having a farmer raise special ducks only for him. Many of Tsutsui’s fans come from afar to enjoy his dishes. It is recommended to make reservations well in advance especially for Saturdays and Sundays.
