A new-style Italian restaurant hidden away in an alley
“Our restaurant is a nice place for gathering with family and friends”, says the owner, Yuki Kajikawa who was attracted by the cozy atmosphere of this alley in Kyoto. “Ort” means a vegetable garden in Italian. Yuki wants the restaurant to be like a garden where they grow and harvest vegetables that make customers feel the four seasons. Shinji Tanimura, the chef, who trained himself at restaurants in France and Italy, offers French-style Italian cuisine using Kyoto ingredients, such as baked sweet fish with special salted fish sauce. Taste a new-style Italian cuisine using fresh vegetables and seafood in Kyoto.
