Kyoto-style ramen noodle restaurant with famous collagen menu
Sanjo Chin’yu was built by remodeling a machiya (Kyoto-style townhouse) in the early Showa period (1926-1988). Diners can enjoy a view of an inside garden from the table. You can enjoy their famous handmade noodles. The broth is made using chicken bones which gives it a delicious flavor that has a whitish appearance. It may sound like a rich broth but is simple and tasty which is the best representation of Kyoto-style ramen noodles. Another famous item on the menu is ‘Gyusuji-don (a rice bowl topped with simmered beef)’, which goes well with the ramen noodles and makes for a delicious takeout as well. The beef used for the rice bowl is abundant in collagen and has a springy texture. The portions are very generous including boiled egg and fried chicken as a side dish.
