Cute and practical items for a great gift

Opened in 1872, Shirai Tenugui-ten offers Japanese tenugui or cotton towels.  They are also an appointed store of Oboro Towel, a manufacturer of special towels made in Mie Prefecture.  Oboro Towel, which produces towels with different materials on each side (pile fabric and gauze), has long been favored by many kabuki actors.  Their towels are extremely soft and dry quickly, ideal as a bath towel for newborn babies and for traveling.  Not only towels but also other cute items using cotton and gauze are available such as book covers, aprons, scarves and stoles in different colors.
