The owner, Masaya Suzuike, says, “The bar I used to work for had many female customers including geiko (Japanese traditional female entertainer) so I tried to create a soft atmosphere with decorations such as art pieces of roses.”  Suzuike pursued his training at Kyoto’s wine shop, Wine Grocery’s bar and obtained the senior sommelier qualification at the youngest age recorded.  He offers herb tea-based gentle non-alcoholic cocktails for the hardworking geiko and maiko (geiko apprentice) to enjoy while relaxing after work.
