    Tagoto

A long-established Kyoto cuisine restaurant for any occasions

Located on the bustling Shijo Street, a short walk along their stone-paved narrow approach will welcome diners into a tranquil and classical Japanese atmosphere.  In addition to their authentic Kyoto style kaiseki course, Tagoto offers a variety of set menus and lunch menus.  Their most popular menu item is the Koetsu Mizusashi Bento lunch, associated with a famous Edo-period artist, Koetsu Hon’ami (1558-1637).  The lunch set’s container is a replica of a water vase which Hon’ami used for tea ceremony.  Inside are a full variety of colorful and delicious Kyoto tastes.  Reservations are not necessary for the table seats.  There are also some private rooms for gatherings as well as counter seats.  Tagoto welcomes diners for any purpose to share their sophisticated Kyoto ambience.
