    Tanaka Jisseido

Crackers made with natural ingredients using the technique passed down for three generations

Tanaka Jisseido was established in 1921.  They use only natural ingredients such as flour, sugar and eggs for making their carefully handmade crackers.  Their famous crackers have been made for three generations and received awards at several national sweet expositions.  Kyo Kinumaki (one bag for 400 yen) is a rolled sesame cracker with caramelized sugar inside.  As customers can enjoy both the crackers and caramelized sugar, no wonder it is one of the most popular items of this shop. Shiro Miso Matsuba has a white sweet miso (soy bean paste) in the cracker mixture and is baked into a pine leaf shape.  Shoga Senbei cracker offers a great combination of sesame and ginger and has a somewhat nostalgic taste.  Enjoy their sweets and calm your heart.
