Aromatic handmade soba noodles made with 100% buckwheat at the counter
In this typical Kyoto style long and narrow building, Toru Soba serves their aromatic homemade soba buckwheat noodles at a long counter style table. Their popular dish “Yamakake Soba” (900 yen) is a cold soba noodle dish with grated sticky yam potato, fresh egg and chopped spring onions. When you taste the mixture of the soba and the toppings, you will be amazed at its exquisite balance. You can also order it with hot broth. Pick your choice from “Zaru Soba” (cold soba served on a bamboo strainer basket), “Oroshi Soba” (cold soba topped with grated white radish), “Tsukimi Soba” (soba in hot broth topped with a half-boiled egg), and “Nishin Soba” (soba in hot broth topped with sweetly cooked herring) and more. You can also select the size from small, medium and large according to how hungry you are.
