Healthy menu offering seasonal fresh vegetables and seafood especially popular among their female customers

Arashiyama is one of the most popular destinations in Kyoto.  The longstanding Japanese inn Togetsutei is located on the Katsura River (also known as Oi River).  One can stay overnight or take a bath as a day visitor as well as enjoying a meal at their Shofukaku restaurant.  The healthy menu offering fresh seasonal vegetables and seafood, such as Yudofu-kaiseki with boiled tofu in broth using the tofu from the renowned tofu shop, Morika, the maker of famous Saga-tofu (special tofu of Saga area), Yuba-kaiseki with fresh Hikiage-yuba (delicate skin skimmed off the top of simmering soymilk), and Tekekago Bento (lunch box style set meal) are most popular among their female customers.  The restaurant looks over the beautiful scenery of Mt. Ogura and the Oi River in different seasons loved by the people since the Heian period (794-1185) for more than thousand years.
