Enjoy Beijing cuisine to the full in a historical European-style building
Touka Saikan was opened as a Beijing cuisine restaurant in 1945. You have probably seen this fine distinctive European-style building by the Shijo Bridge. The original building was designed by William Merrell Vories for the previous western cuisine restaurant. It is Spanish baroque style which is rare architectural example in Japan. The building accommodates one of the oldest elevators in Japan and a heavy solid door, that gives dignified atmosphere. This restaurant has been offering traditional and contemporary Beijing dishes with unchanged hospitality, and has been loved by many customers over the years. One family has been enjoy meals here for over three generations.
