This restaurant serves very rare Kyosui eels, grown in the Oi River. For dinner courses, they offer smoked eel liver, grilled eels, and eel shabu-shabu (sliced eel parboiled in hot soup). Unaju (grilled eel topped on rice in a lacquered box) comes in four kinds (from 2,600 yen) and delivery service is available. For take away, it is served in a box as in the photo. This Michelin one star-rated restaurant is proud of its tender and juicy eels. Aside from grilled eels, nicely cooked steamed rice and Japanese-style rolled omelet is also tempting.
