Yoshiya is a “kappo” (Japanese-style) restaurant located in an alley in Pontocho. You will be warmly welcomed by the smiling face of the cheerful and polite owner. It attracts a lot of people not only from Kyoto but from around Japan. The menu contains a rich variety of dishes like the popular kama-meshi (rice cooked in an earthen pot) which uses seasonal ingredients, otsukuri (sliced raw fish), grilled dish, boiled dish and fried dish. Both course menus and a la carte menu items are sufficient volume. The chef will also adjust portions individual customer. You will be delighted by their impressionable hospitality.
