Enjoy fresh yuba with steaming fragrance of soybeans
Yubahan is a specialty shop serving yuba established in 1716. The building is a typical Kyoto’s machiya townhouse with battan-shogi (folding bench), lattice-doors, mushiko-mado (lattice window), which make up for a relaxed atmosphere. When you enter through the front door, you can easily observe yuba-craftsman working in the kitchen. You can enjoy “Hikiage-yuba” (freshly-made yuba) on its own or either cooked with lightly seasoned soup. “Hikiage-yuba” from 1,050 yen for five pieces, “Sashimi-yuba” 1,575 yen.
